ANTIPOLO – For the first time, three pontifically-crowned Marian images were honored together on July 4 as the Diocese of Antipolo ends its pilgrimage season.

Antipolo Bishop Francisco de Leon, DD celebrated a Mass for devotees of the three Marian images—Our Lady of Aranzazu, Our Lady of the Abandoned and Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage—at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage in this city.

The Eucharistic celebration also marked the 90th anniversary of the canonical coronation of our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage.

It was the first ever gathering of the Tres Coronadas, the three pontifically-crowned Marian images in the Diocese of Antipolo.

Our Lady of Nuestra Senora de Aranzazu was crowned on May 31 this year. Our Lady of the Abandoned was officially crowned on Oct. 23, 2005 while Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage received the honor on Nov. 28, 1926.

After the Mass, a procession was held for the Tres Coronadas. Balloons forming a rosary, were also released as the pilgrimage season closed. (aranzazushrine.ph)
