A Holy Bible was spared from fire that killed a mother, injured her two children and affected at least 26 families on Good Friday in San Miguel in this city.

“All papers and documents were burned, except for the Holy Bible,” shared a certain Emily Hadap, calling it “God’s miracle.”

Hadap is a co-worker of Myrna Mae Tesico who died during the fire. She has two daughters Kirzteen Joan Angeli, 12, and Keilah

Joanna Angelene, 9, who are still undergoing hospitalization after suffering third degree burns, according to their sibling Kate.

Bureau of Fire Protection’s Marck Anticano estimated the property damage amounting to Php 500,000. Investigations to identify the cause of the incident are still underway. Reports have been circulating online, however, that a malfunctioning rechargeable flashlight caused it.
