Bishop Antonio recovers from coronavirus

Bishop David William Antonio of Ilagan who was infected with the new coronavirus has recovered, his diocese reported on Saturday.
Antonio remained asymptomatic during quarantine at his residence in Isabela province’s Gamu town.
“Thank you very much for your prayers and well wishes to Bishop William,” the diocese said in a statement.
The bishop has been under isolation since Nov. 9 after he tested positive for the Covid-19.
His negative result came after another swab test by the town’s health office on Nov. 19.
With this development, the diocesan chancery and the bishop’s residence have been opened to the public.
Public Masses in the Ilagan cathedral have also resumed on Sunday.
Antonio, who is also the administrator of the Apostolic Vicariate of San Jose in Occidental Mindoro province, is the sixth Filipino bishop to contract coronavirus.
