A Catholic archdiocese in Western Visayas is taking its traditional summer catechetical program to cyberspace as strict quarantine continues in the region.
The Capiz archdiocese is launching an online talk show dubbed “Pamati” (listen) on Friday to reach out to young people in various parishes and mission stations amid the lockdown.
The program will run throughout the whole month of May and will be streamed at the archdiocese’s Facebook page.
Pamati was also inspired by Archbishop Jose Advincula’s episcopal motto “Audiam”, a Latin word which means “I will listen”.
Not only will the archdiocese stream out the catechesis to the audience, but viewers can also ask questions in the comments, making the program interactive.
The one-hour online show airs at 9:30am from Mondays to Fridays, with priests and theologians as resource speakers.
On Saturdays, the program will also feature testimonies of some clerics and religious to inspire young people who may wish to enter religious life or the priesthood.
The show will also be crossposted on the Facebook pages of the Capiz Archdiocesan Social Action Center, Santa Maria Mater et Regina Seminarium, St. Pius X Seminary, Colegio de la Purisima Conception and the Immaculate Conception Metropolitan Cathedral.
