Cebu to host Marian World Congress
MANILA – The Queen City of the South is set to host an international conference from Aug. 18 to 19 at the Summit Circle Hotel (above Robinson’s Fuente in Cebu City), to mark 100 years since the apparitions of Our Lady in Fatima, Portugal.
“Amid the very crucial situation of the world today aggravated by the deepening moral and spiritual crisis, thus there is an urgency for us to have recourse to Our Lady,” said Dr. Rene Josef Bullecer, overall event chairman of the Marian World Congress with the theme, “Our Lady at FATIMA: Prophecies of Tragedies or Hope”.
According to him, the Fatima apparitions’ centenary invites the faithful to “re-visit, re-think, and re-live … Her most urgent message of conversion and prayer.”
Speakers include:
- Br. Wendell Talibong, a lay exorcist;
- Jaro Archbishop Angel N. Lagdameon, DD;
- Novaliches Bishop Emeritus Teodoro Bacani, DD, Jr.;
- Fr. Melvin Castro;
- Fr. Roige Quiga, RCJ
Organized by the Sangguniang Laiko ng Pilipinas and Human life International Philippines, the congress will start on Friday, Aug. 18, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Aug. 19, Saturday.
Event registration is Php 1,000.00 only (live out rate) per delegate with 3 snacks and lunch. Live-in rate is Php 2,550.00 per person (twin-sharing basis) with buffet breakfast on the 19th. CBCPNews
