QUEZON City – As part of the year-round celebration of Year of the Clergy and Consecrated Persons, Dominican students will hold a “Youth Jam” concert on Feb. 3, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., featuring the Joyful Friars.

The Joyful Friars, “a group of Dominican student-brothers preaching together through the use of their talents in preaching, music and dancing, in a lively and youthful way,” will perform at the concert that will be held at the UST – Angelicum Gym, Angelicum College, Quezon City.

“We want to deliver the message that it is truly a joy to serve the Lord. Through the concert we also want to present the joy of religious life,” said Reginald Zamora, Vocation Promotions head of Dominican Vocations Philippines, explains that the event’s goal is to share the joy of the Gospel.

According to him, it will be the first time the group will be holding a praise and worship concert. “…Fortunately, it’s the Year of the Clergy and [Consecrated Persons], which makes it timely.”

Zamora invited the public to attend the gathering, saying it would be “fun, meaningful, and enriching.”

“There will be praise and worship, a Holy Mass, and a mini concert. Best of all, it’s fun and free!” he added.
