Kidapawan Bishop Jose Colin M. Bagaforo led the symbolic tree-planting of the Samahan ng mga Pari at Relihiyoso ng Kidapawan (SPARK) on July 23 as part of the year-long diocesan celebration of the “Year of the Clergy and Consecrated Persons.”

Held at the Oblates of Mary Immaculate (OMI) Farms Bugwak in Antipas, North Cotabato, the event was the second to the last activity for the diocese’s celebration of the “Year of the Clergy and Consecrated Persons.” According to Bagaforo, the first activity was about the diocese’s priests and consecrated persons’ socialization.

Gathering at the San Vicente Ferrer Parish in Antipas at around 8:00 a.m., the prelate and some priests and religious brothers rode to the site on mountain bikes.

Bagaforo also shared that the diocesan clergy of Kidapawan will culminate their celebration of the “Year of the Clergy and Consecrated Persons” by going on a pilgrimage in Jerusalem and Rome.

The activity ended with a “creation appreciation” by going around the 9.3-hectare farmland of the OMI.
