The Archdiocese of Manila in cooperation with Jesuit Communications Foundation (JesCom) will stage Patron of the Arts: an Evening with the Cardinal at the Meralco Theater on Thursday, Dec. 12.

Launched in 2012, Patron of the Arts was organized to help raise funds for the vital programs of the archdiocese.

This year’s concert will celebrate, through song and dance, the Filipino “Panunuluyan” featuring Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, together with the Ateneo Chamber Singers, Baihana, Bituin Escalante, Eli Estrella, Gian Magdangal, Mandaluyong Children’s Choir and Mr. Piolo Pascual.

Proceeds of the concert will go to the Archdiocese’s evangelization ministry, specifically, for its Office for the Promotion of the New Evangelization.

As an important highlight of the program, the Manila archdiocese traditionally bestows the Patron of the Arts Award to outstanding artists who have made significant contributions in their fields.

This year, the award will be given to Sr. Anunciata Sta. Ana, SPC in recognition of her excellent contribution to liturgical music and music instruction.

Tickets are available at the following Tanging Yaman outlets: Sonolux Building, Seminary Drive, Ateneo de Manila University and 5th Floor Atrium, SM Megamall; and at the Office for the Promotion of the New Evangelization (OPNE) of the Archdiocese of Manila. For inquiries, please call JesCom office at 8426-5971 local 121/110 or 0908-886-8447 or OPNE office at 8405-0093 or 0928-370-2869.
