Tagaytay youth’s ‘Run for Communion’ set
MANILA – If there are runs for the environment and for cancer awareness, finally, here’s a “run for communion.”
The Our Lady of Lourdes Tagaytay Parish Youth Ministry (PYM) holds the “Run for Communion in the Year of the Parish,” its first fundraising run on Oct. 15, 4:00 a.m. at the Tagaytay Oval.
The 10-kilometer run-for-a-cause seeks to foster togetherness and unity.
“This fun run aims [for the participants] to share [their] time and experience as an essential expression of communion,” said PYM coordinator and president Angelica Martin in an interview.
She also stressed that through this fun-filled activity, every liturgical celebration of the parish becomes “not just a gathering of worship but of fellowship of the community.”
The Run for Communion is in line with the celebration and culmination of the Year of the Parish: Communion of Communities.
The fundraising run is open to all ages.
Proceeds from the Run for Communion will benefit the upcoming events and projects of ministries and organizations of the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
