Veneration of the Cross

Catholics queue for the Veneration of the Cross at the end of the celebration of the Lord’s Passion at the Manila Cathedral on Good Friday, April 14, 2017.  In the Philippines, the solemn observance of Good Friday include the Way of the Cross, chanting of the Pasyon, procession of “Santo Entierro” or the image of the dead Christ and other saints connected to the Passion and staging of “senakulo” or passion play.
