A group of college seminarians in the Diocese of Malolos sang their heart out “to remind us of God’s infinite mercy and love” as the country continues to battle coronavirus.
In a video posted on Divine Mercy Sunday, the Immaculate Conception Major Seminary’s Meisters and Kenosis Chorales sang “Banal na Diyos”, composed by one of their own.
“The pandemic drew us even closer to our Lord. We continuously pray as one nation, as one world,” the seminarians said.
“Together with our beloved rector, the formators and the whole seminary community, we pray for healing and grace to our risen Lord, the fount of mercy and love,” they added.
The song was part of chorale’s “Sa Iyong Tahanan” music album produced by the ICMS and was released in March 2019.
The video also featured a short reflection on Divine Mercy by the seminary’s rector, Fr. Emmanuel Cruz.
The seminarians were sent home last month after the government imposed a Luzon-wide lockdown as a precautionary measure against the spread of Covid-19.
